Line Hill House

Line Hill House, is a bespoke zero-carbon dwelling designed for a private client wishing to downsize from their current home.

Situated in the rural Bromsgrove, on an elevated site nestled on the edge of a protected ancient woodland, the dwelling captures open views of the rolling hills in the countryside.

The new dwelling replaces a dilapidated bungalow in Bromsgrove’s Green Belt. A P Architects collaborated with the LPA to achieve a significant enlargement and contemporary design that would be complementary to its setting.

The design was sympathetic to existing flora and fauna, protecting the ancient woodland and provides ecological and bio-diversity enhancements.

Roof integrated photovoltaic (PV) technology is utilised so as not to detract from the design of the dwelling, along with a ground source heat pump to provide renewable energy sources and help achieve a net zero-carbon energy rating.

Design features help in providing summer shading to large glazed area, without comprising on views and connection to the external environment.
